許文耀 Ricky Man-yiu HUI

畢業於香港浸會大學音樂系，主修小提琴，並以優異成績考獲倫敦聖三一音樂學院小提琴及中提琴演奏文憑（LTCL）。許氏現時任教的學校包括：東華三院聯校小學弦樂團指揮，東華三院馬錦燦紀念小學（弦樂團指揮／小提琴導師），香港真光書院（管弦樂團指揮／小提琴導師），東華三院黃笏南中學（小提琴／中提琴導師），滬江小學，中國婦女會丘佐榮小學，玫瑰崗學校小學部（小提琴導師）。​

許氏活躍於多個管弦樂團，早於1994年已隨靈糧幼稚園校友管弦樂團赴北京少年文化宮交流，近年更隨香港巴洛克室樂團遠赴德國、捷克及奧地利演出。許氏現為新世紀青年管弦樂團團長，曾在2013年於香港文化中心音樂廳獨奏《聖桑－第三號小提琴協奏曲》。

於2010及2013年，許氏分別獲邀為電影「葉問前傳」及「葉問－終極一戰」灌錄小提琴獨奏，深獲好評。

 

除小提琴及中提琴演奏外，許氏亦熱衷於其他器樂演奏，在爵士鼓、古典結他、敲擊樂、大提琴及電低音結他均有涉獵，並考獲八級或以上。此外，他曾贏得第五屆亞太口琴節及第一屆香港口琴節複音口琴公開賽優異獎。

2016年，許氏先後成為醫療輔助隊樂隊（高音薩克斯風／電低音結他）和香港聖約翰救傷隊樂隊樂手（風笛），用不同的音樂元素，拉近人與人之間的距離。

Trinity LTCL Recital (Violin & Viola both with distinction), Hong Kong Baptist University Bachelor of Arts (hons.) in Music Studies, majoring in violin with Mr. Lam Sun Chun and Mr. Wong Wai Ming. Mr. Hui is currently the String Orchestra Conductor/ Violin and Viola Tutor in several local secondary and primary schools, including TWGHs: Joint Primary Schools String Orchestra, TWGHs Wong Fut Nam College, TWGHs Ma Kam Chan Memorial Primary School String Orchestra, Shanghai Alumni Primary School, H.K.C.W.C. Hioe Tjo Yoeng Primary School, Hong Kong True Light College and RosaryHill School (Primary section) etc.

 

Since 1992, Mr. Hui has been actively participating in various music ensemble like the Millennium Youth Orchestra MYO (Concertmaster) and HKBU Symphony Orchestra (2nd Violin Principal). He was selected by the Collegium Musicum Hong Kong to join their concert tour in Europe, 2012. In 2013, he performed the St. Saens Violin Concerto No.3, Op.61 as soloist with MYO in Hong Kong Culture Centre.

 

In addition, he was invited to record violin solos for Hong Kong movies “The Legend is Born - Ip Man” 2010 and “Ip Man - Final Fight” 2013.

 

Hui plays music with a wide range of instruments. He obtained grade 8 in Music Theory, Drums, Electric Bass Guitar, Percussion, Cello and Classical guitar. And he was awarded merit prizes (Tremolo Open) in both 5th Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival 2004 and 1st Hong Kong Harmonica Festival 2003.

 

He is currently a core member in Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade (Bag Piper) and Hong Kong Auxiliary Medical Service (Saxophonist).
